Lina Scheynius / TOUCHING
A collection of works by Swedish photographer Lina Scheynius. The artist "exposed" the body and the film, layering them over and over again. Ancient sculpture was the starting point for a lively dialogue between the artist and his own body. Here, the artist's unique perspective reveals the subtle overlap between organic bodies and mineral sculptures. This previously unpublished series of her work evokes centuries-old art with a contemporary perspective. The sculptures included in it included those that were exhibited in famous museums and other places. They are all shot with film cameras, but nevertheless, they are a surplus of works through our impersonal screens. This book, which was created in a relatively large format of 380mm x 250mm, was overwhelmed by its impact and captured my heart.
The pages also show her new attempt at "whispering," which can be said to be literary. This is a gesture for the artist, illuminating the "exposure" of everything and weaving it into a single unfolding story.
